Counting Down the days
Yesterday, I already had enough of the weather here, I'm already depressed from the rain and the grey.I didn't know really that missing the sun can affect our emotions like this, I was crying yesterday from nothing in particular and I had problem in breathing from only weather.
Winter this year in poland has been particularly harsh. According to some of the people who have lived here a while, it hasn't been this cold since 1975.and on my luck the weather become like this :(.
As an Egyptian I can Agree from experience of my four years living here that it has been rather chilly and colder than the other years.
well I'm counting now the days for summer, here when it's summer, life starts, people are in the streets, Market square, music concerts.
The polish have a few events of their own to usher the warmer weather. I'm waiting for it now.
Long ago, it was believed that winter was controlled by a goddess called Marzanna. As the winter the winter solstice approached marzanna's wintery power began to decrease and eventually disappear for a time. In later centruries a cutom arose in which doll- like images of marzanna were constructed to be burnt or drowed in a river to symbolize winter's end.
This tradition seems rather macabre, but I think it does a good job in representing the general feelings of polish people toward winter. like in most northen countries spring doesn't arrive overnight, and the polish have a unique way of describing spring weather as being like a pot of stew, with rain, snow, sun and clouds all mixed together.
well Now I'm counting down the days for their Summer which is also raining here but at least more hotter and more Sunny days .

Well ,, batool weather differ from country to another each one has its advantage & disadvantage for example here in Egypt the weather at the morning is very hot some time u sweating without moving a muscle & sometime its sandy & dusty that u can't breath fresh nice air at all which makes people stay at there home beside A/C. & sometime its nice & joyfully,, as well Poland too sometime its raining or snowing & windy or cold & sometime its sunny & cool too, what I'm trying to say that don't u look only at the dark side of it,, at least u got nice healthy air clear from any fumes or dusts ,,.

well,,, Noga I'm Egyptian and I Know the weather in Egypt How it is,polluted and hot & sweating but i'm personally person who prefers hot weather,and it doesn't mean that here is bad it has its adventages too at least u get to see the change of the seasons but not since september till april the weather is rather cold, chilly, and depressed , no sun for longer days, when u used to the sun for all ur life, we don't know its importance for us, we don't need to watch the weather every day to know if its rainning or not, cold or not to know how to dress, or if u planning to go out,
ReplyDeletealso its ok with sitting behind the window with hot cup of tea with someone :) romantic like in the movies which can happen actually but u will get bored if u have this more than 6 month,& we by nature like people, go out , meetings, live and i'm not looking at the bad side at all, only I had enough , at least half of the week can be raining and the other half can be sun, it was here yesterday 1 degree, we are in april for godsake i want hot weather not like in egypt can be like in italy for a while :)
well I also see u not happy in weather in egypt may be we could switch, yeah and the world looks very beautiful, & amazing
